Usage Agreement

With the continued use and upgrade to our intranet—ALI—and the future plans for technology use in our system, American Leak Detection, Inc. corporate employees as well as our Franchise Team Members and their employees will increasingly use electronic forms of communication and information exchange. We will all have access to one or more forms of electronic media and services (computers, e-mail, telephones, voicemail, fax machines, external electronic bulletin boards, wire services, on-line services, our own intranet, and the World Wide Web).

American Leak Detection, Inc. encourages the use of these media and associated services because these information technologies make communication more efficient, and because they are valuable sources of information. However, electronic media and services provided by American Leak Detection, Inc., are company property and their purposes are to facilitate company business.

While this Usage Agreement cannot lay down rules to cover every possible electronic media situation, it expresses ALD’s philosophy and sets forth general principles to be applied in the use of electronic media and services, accessed on or from company premises, using company computer equipment or via company-paid access methods; and/or used in a manner that identifies the individual with American Leak Detection. American Leak Detection, Inc. reserves the right to take any action to stop any activity that violates its policies, this Usage Agreement or any activity that American Leak Detection, Inc. deems inappropriate. Additionally, American Leak Detection, Inc. reserves the right to remove any content that violates its policies, this Usage Agreement, or content that it otherwise deems harmful or offensive.

  1. ALI's purpose is to facilitate the open exchange of ideas and general information for the benefit of the entire American Leak Detection System. All postings on ALI should reflect high qualities of professionalism, ethics, decorum and civility.
  2. American Leak Detection, Inc. electronic media may not be used for transmitting, retrieving or storage of any communications of a discriminatory or harassing nature, derogatory to any individual or group, obscene or X-rated, of a defamatory or threatening nature, for “chain letters”, or for any purpose which is illegal, or against company policy and, therefore, contrary to the company’s interest. In addition, media may not be used in any way that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or any other intellectual property right. Users agree to comply with all laws and each user is solely responsible for transmissions made under its password.
  3. American Leak Detection, Inc. electronic media is should be used in connection with the conduct of American Leak Detection business.
  4. American Leak Detection, Inc. administrators (sometimes called the “ALI Moderator”) have the ability to monitor all usage of the system, and the company reserves the right, in its discretion, without notice to review all electronic files and messages and usage to the extent necessary to ensure that electronic media and services are being used in compliance with the law, with this Usage Agreement and with other company policies.
  5. Any password given to a user of ALI or any of the American Leak Detection, Inc. electronic media is to be kept confidential by the user and the user will be held responsible for any disclosure or breech of this confidentiality. It is the users responsibility to maintain this confidentiality and report to American Leak Detection, Inc. any breach of this confidentiality.
  6. American Leak Detection, Inc. users must respect the confidentiality of other users electronic communications and may not attempt to read, “hack” into American Leak Detection, Inc. system(s) or other users logins, “crack” passwords, breach computer or network security measures, or monitor electronic files or communications of other Franchise Team Members, employees or third parties.
  7. No e-mail or other electronic communications may be sent over ALI which attempts to hide the identity of the sender, or represent the sender as someone else.
  8. Anyone obtaining electronic access to other companies’ or individuals’ materials must respect all copyrights and may not copy, retrieve, modify or forward copyrighted materials, except as permitted by the copyright owner or single copy for reference use only. You should always bear in mind that any messages or information sent to one or more individuals via an electronic network (e.g., ALI bulletin board, e-mail, on-line service, or the internet) may be identifiable with and attributable to our company.
  9. American Leak Detection, Inc. does not guaranty the security or privacy of information transmitted over the system and does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  10. American Leak Detection, Inc. reserves the right to deny or terminate access to any Franchise Team Member, Franchise Team Member staff or corporate staff member that violates this Usage Agreement, our policies, or who are otherwise not in good standing under the franchise agreement or other employment agreements.

American Leak Detection, Inc. reserves the right to update or change its policies and this Usage Agreement at any time.
